Even before the United States, the Criminal Code of Denmark has provided for stalking since 1933. Here the crime arises simply as a breach of the peace through recurrence of disruptive behavior. Over time, however, the legislation has been refined going to cover a variety of diverse attitudes andstrengthening the penalty system for those more serious.
